Centennial CRYO Hop Pellets (USA) (1 OZ)
Centennial hops were first developed back in 1974 from a predominant Brewer’s Gold hop mixed with Fuggle and East Kent Golding, among others. The result was a balanced aromatic and bittering hop which was released in 1990. Sometimes referred to as a Super Cascade, the Centennial hop offers a more citrus heavy aroma and taste that blends perfectly into IPAs, Pale Ales, or Bitters.
Developed by Yakima Chief Hopunion, Cryo Hops represents the the most innovative technology in hop processing. It uses a proprietary cryogenic separation process which preserves all components of each hop fraction, producing two simultaneous co-products, LupuLN2 & Debittered Leaf. LupuLN2 is the concentrated lupulin of whole-leaf hops containing resins & aromatic oils. It is designed to provide intense hop flavor & aroma, enabling brewers to dose large quantities of hops without introducing astringent flavors or vegetative cone material. LupuLN2 offers twice the resin content of traditional whole-leaf & hop pellet products, and should be dosed at approximately half the amount by weight. Aroma: Lemon, floral. Alpha Acid: 14.1%
