German Vienna Malt/ (Avangard) (by the Lb.)
Classic German Malt.
Vienna Malt is made of finest two row spring barley grown in the most prominent regions such as Germany, France, Denmark and England. The varieties in use are approved and well established in the country of origin.
Vienna can be used up to 100% for slightly dark but not aromatic beers or for slight corrections of the color without adding malty aroma compounds to the beer. Typical ratio for the use would be 10-20%.
It is recommended for pale types with rich body such as Helles or Bohemian type at 10-20%

Classic German base malt.
Munich type malt is made of finest two row spring barley grown in the most prominent regions such as Germany, France, Denmark and England. The varieties in use are approved and well established in the country of origin.
Munich type malt can be used up to 100% for slightly dark and malt aromatic beers but also for adding color with adding a distinct malty aroma to the beer. Typical ratio for the use is up to 100% for Dark Bavarian style beers and 10-50% for enhancing color and aroma. It is recommended for dark types with a rich body such as Bavarian Dark, Dark Bock, Dark Wheat Beer.
8 Lovibond
German Dark Munich Malt / (20L, Type 2) (Avangard) (by the Lb.)
Classic German base malt.
Dark Munich malt can be used up to 100% for darker and malty beers or for adding distinct color and malty aroma. Typical ratio for the use is up to 100% for Dark Bavarian style beers and 10-50% for enhancing color and aroma. It is recommended for dark types with a rich body such as Bavarian Dark, Dark Bock, Dark Wheat Beer.
German Red Wheat Malt/ (Avangard) (by the Lb.)
Classic American and European malt.
Wheat is made of selected winter wheat grown in Germany, France or Denmark. The varieties in use are suitable for brewing purposes. Wheat malt is typically used for brewing wheat beer with a share of up to 100%. It is also recommended for other top fermented German beers such as Kolsch and Alt with a share of up to 25%.

Classic American and European malt.
Slightly malty with a spicy character unique to rye beers. Can be used at a 2% to 30% percent inclusion, depending on beer style and flavor preferences.
Used in a variety of beer styles, including IPAs and other styles looking for additional spice undertones. Adds a layer of flavor to any beer.

Spelt Malt (Swaen) (by the Lb.)
An ancient variety of Bavarian wheat with long irregularly-shaped kernels. Contains higher protein but lower gluten than wheat malt. Provides a slightly sweet nutty, spicy flavor. Use like wheat malt.
